WILMINGTON, MA — Home sales in Wilmington were down last year, reflecting conditions across the state, according to a study from The Warren Group.

In 2023, sales in Wilmington were down 31.9 percent. In 2022, 273 single-family homes were sold, but in 2023, only 186 homes were sold.

The median sale price of a single-family home decreased by .7 percent, from $675,000 to $670,000, according to the Warren Group. However, across the state, prices for single-family homes increased.

Across Massachusetts, single-family homes dropped to a 12-year low in 2023. Limited inventory combined with high prices and high interest rates all combined to make a tough real estate market for buyers.
