WILMINGTON, MA — Power was restored and traffic was reopened after a live wire went down on Middlesex Avenue in Wilmington.

The downed live wire caused a brush fire, a road closure and a power outage.

Middlesex Avenue was closed from Federal Street and Colonial Drive, as of 12:27 p.m. Power was out for a large area in North Wilmington, including Ballardvale Street, Reading Light said at 12:37 p.m. Power was restored half an hour later.
