Missing For Four Weeks, Wilmington Lizard Is Home Safe

Tiggs was found next door to his house at the corner of Woburn and Salem Streets.

WILMINGTON, MA -- Tiggs, a 3.5-foot black and white tegu, last seen in an outdoor enclosure in the area of Salem and Woburn Streets on July 31, is home safe. The lizard was found by the owner's next door neighbor on Sunday.

The four-year-old lizard was on the loose for a month and eluded cameras, traps and a professional tegu hunter hired by her owner Liz Rose, according to the Lowell Sun, which first reported this story. "All the sudden he came up out of nowhere," Rose told the newspaper when describing how her neighbor had cornered Tiggs in a shed.
