Route 62 In Wilmington To Close For A Month

Officials will close a section of Middlesex Avenue starting July 18 to replace a failing culvert.

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Department of Public Works plans to close a section of Middlesex Avenue starting in mid-July to replace a failing culvert, according to the Town's website.

Traffic will detour onto Woburn Street while both lanes of Middlesex Avenue (Route 62) are closed between Jefferson Avenue and North Street. The Town expects the road work to begin July 18, but says the start date is subject to change.

The road will be closed for about 30 days from when the work starts.
