The Farmers’ Market will return from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 14 at the North Reading Moose Lodge 1511. The market will be open one Saturday each month through May: April 4 and May 9.

Ken Tarr of the North Reading Farmers’ Market said the first week will have more than 10 vendors, including Farmer Dave’s, Arrowhead Farm, Razzy’s and Swiss Bakers. There will also be candles, jewelry, handmade crafts, gourmet pet treats and chocolate.

“People were sad to see last season end,” said Tarr about the market’s successful first year at Ipswich River Park. “In many ways, the market was still getting stronger in September. There was a lot of positive feedback about how much the markets were enjoyed.”

Tarr said organizers hope to meet new vendors in the indoor markets that will continue into the summer markets.

Tarr said the Land Utilization Committee plans to start the summer markets at Ipswich River Park on June 17.
