Stephen M. Lerra, 51, of Wilmington

"He loved everyone he knew with all of his heart and would do anything to help his family and friends.

WILMINGTON, MA — Stephen M. Lerra, 51, of Wilmington, formerly of Malden, passed away on Oct. 12.

He was the beloved husband of Emma (Gustavsen) Lerra. Loving father of his two beautiful boys, Jared and Ryan. Son of Joseph Lerra and his wife Wanda of Marblehead and the late Angela Lerra. Brother of Jeffrey Lerra and his wife Karen of Bedford. Grandson of Mary Ferro of Malden. Brother-in-law of Wanda and Jeff Carter of New Hampshire and Inga and Andrew Weakly of Maine. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Stephen was raised and educated in Malden, graduating from Malden High School, Class of 1983. He worked for the Pipefitter’s Union Local 537 for over 30 years. Steve loved the outdoors, especially camping with his wife and sons. He had a passion for restoring and operating classic automobiles. He loved everyone he knew with all of his heart and would do anything to help his family and friends. We will all miss him and carry him in our hearts.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Tuesday Oct. 18 from 4-8 p.m. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave., Waltham, MA 02451.
