WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington received well over a foot of snow in the winter storm that swept the state Monday and Tuesday, proving the forecasts right.

The town received 20 inches of snow as of 2:21 a.m., according to the National Weather Service's snowfall spotter report.

That's one of the biggest snowfall totals in the area, though Lowell has the town beat. One spotter reported two feet of snow in Lowell.
