Wilmington Dunkin' Event On Wed. To Feature Scalabrine, Cuppy and Fun

The Dunkin' at 211 Lowell Street has been remodeled as a Next Gen store and will hold a grand reopening celebration from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

WILMINGTON, MA —Donuts, prizes and a Celtics "legend" all will be part of Wednesday's grand reopening celebration at a newly remodeled Wilmington Dunkin' restaurant, the Dunkin' corporate office has announced.

The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Dunkin' located at 211 Lowell Street.

The location has been remodeled as a Next Generation store and boasts a new store design that, according to Dunkin' corporate, "features a positive, energetic atmosphere for guests, which remains true to Dunkin's heritage, while emphasizing and enhancing the speed and convenience that distinguishes the brand."

At the store, guests will "experience in-store innovations, including an array of new and exciting elements like a cold beverage tap system."

To mark the occasion, former Boston Celtics player Brian Scalabrine, who currently works as an analyst for NBC Boston, is scheduled to "join the fun" from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Event organizers said radio station Kiss 108 and the Dunkin' mascot Cuppy also are expected to attend.

Additionally, fans will have a chance to play games and win Dunkin' swag, and there will be Instagram-worthy visuals spotlighting Dunkin's new pumpkin menu, according to organizers.

During the celebration, Dunkin' franchisee Adam Quinn is scheduled to make a $5,000 donation to the Wilmington Food Pantry. The funds are designed to help support the organization as it works to supply products to those experiencing food insecurity.
