Wilmington Knights Of Columbus Hosting St. Patrick's Day Party

The event will feature Irish music, bagpipers, corned beef and cabbage. The money raised will benefit the Council 4982 Scholarship Fund.

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Knights of Columbus are hosting a St. Patrick's Day party and a few local students will benefit from the event.

The party takes place at 6:30 p.m. on March 17 at MacMullin Hall, located at 112 Middlesex Ave. The event costs $30 per ticket.

Proceeds will go to the Council 4982 Scholarship Fund, which awards between two and six college scholarships annually to children or grandchildren of Knights of Columbus members.

According to organizers, the event will feature traditional Irish music and likely some bagpipers. The food, to be provided by Big Pig BBQ, will include smoked corned beef and cabbage. There also will be dessert.

"It's a chance to celebrate locally and to re-establish what had been a traditional get-together for our members and guests alike," said Justin Strem, currently the Grand Knight of the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Council.
