Wilmington PD Looking For Suspect Accused Of Saturday Armed Robbery

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect accused of committing an armed robbery at a local business on Saturday, the department has announced.

According to police reports, at approximately, 8:50 p.m., the Wilmington PD responded to a call about an armed robbery at Route 38 Smoke Shop, located at 474 Main St.

The Wilmington PD said officers arrived at the scene and learned the suspect had fled.

A Tewksbury Police Department K-9 also responded to the scene and conducted a search, but was unable to locate the suspect, according to police.

Police have described the suspect as a male, approximately 5-foot-10, wearing all black clothing and a mask.

The Wilmington PD said it believes the suspect fled in a newer-model gray Toyota RAV4.

The department did not say what items were reported stolen in the robbery.
