Wilmington Police Warn Residents About Another Scam

The scam involved telling a resident that their spouse was arrested, police said.

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington police are warning residents regarding another scam attempt.

Police posted the following on Facebook:

"Yet another #scam attempt: Someone reported that an officer from the WPD called notifying them that their spouse was arrested and the Officer requested bail to be paid via Venmo or Apple Pay.
