Wilmington's Weather Forecast: Snowstorm Sunday Night into Monday

Wilmington's once again under a Winter Storm Watch and forecasters say to expect 4-7 inches of snow with this storm.

WILMINGTON, MA - In the past 48 hours forecasters have said a storm was on the way for Wilmington, then it wasn't and now it's back again.

So much for the first day of spring.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for northeastern Massachusetts, including Wilmington, from Sunday night through Monday morning.

Heavy snowfall is expected from this system with accumulations of four to seven inches possible.

Snow is expected to develop between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Sunday night. Forecasters say snow may fall heavy at times during the overnight hours with some snow persisting into rush hour Monday morning. Snow is expected to end by late Monday morning.

Hazardous travel is expected Sunday night and into the Monday morning commute. Visibilities could be a quarter mile or less at times throughout the storm.
