Young people are already among the most prominent activists working to make a change to affect this very real problem. You can cultivate and encourage your child’s passion for protecting our planet utilizing some of the below resources.   • National Geographic’s 13 Ways to Save the Earth from Climate Change lists changes kids can make today, along with some of the additional resources at the bottom of the post.
  • Climate activist Greta Thunberg, now 17, became Time Magazine’s youngest ever Person of the Year in 2019.
  • Greta founded Fridays for Future, a youth-focused organization encouraging kids to work to change their communities.
  • Find out more about Mari Copeny, the 13-year-old activist from Flint, Michigan who brought attention to the water crisis with her thoughtful writing when she was only 8. Read about her and her Flint Kids initiatives on her website.
