Girls Who Code launches free club in Winchester

Acera School is proud to announce that it will host a free afterschool Girls Who Code club beginning Tuesday, March 5 from 6:00-7:00 pm. Meetings will run weekly on Tuesdays at 6 pm at Acera’s location on 5 Lowell Street in Winchester. The club will have two facilitators, one dedicated to girls in grades 3-5, and the other to girls in grades 6-12. To register, visit www.aceraschool.org/girlswhocode.

The club offers students the chance to learn computer science skills, creating a pathway for more girls to enter STEM classes and careers.

Founded in 2010, Acera is a non-profit STEM school serving high-ability students in grades K-8. The school engages students in individualized, inquiry-based learning that is designed around their passions and aligned with their own abilities.
