All jokes aside, there are lots of great games to watch, and great games demand great locations. The College Football Playoff is here, and here’s a rundown of four places in Woburn that can satisfy your football cravings:

  1. Scoreboard Sports Bar & Grill: 15 Middlesex Canal Park. Yelp reviewer Susan B. of Reading writes: “This bar always has great food, great service, and a lively atmosphere! On Friday and Saturday nights there is live music some of the greatest entertainment and it is FREE! Come on down and enjoy.”
  2. Waxy O’Connor’s Irish Pub and Restaurant: 1 Rainin Road. Yelp reviewer David P. of Des Plaines, IL writes: “On a business trip and this place is attached to the Best Western. Great Irish bar with good food. Came here all 3 nights on this trip and 2 on a previous trip. Fish and chips, bangers and mash, Shepards pie, all are good. Try the crack balls. So good I had to get a second order to take back to my room.”
  3. Dave & Buster’s Woburn: 271 Mishawum Road. Yelp reviewer Eunice E. writes: “Though the Providence D&B will always hold a special place in my heart, this one is definitely (objectively) better -- and in SPADES compared to the one in Braintree.”
  4. Tanner Tavern: Woburn Center, 474 Main Street. Yelp reviewer Bobby K. of Woburn writes: “Just moved to Woburn. Tanner was one of the first places I visited. It was a Monday night and relatively slow. Wasn’t expecting much but have to say the burger was great, sweet potato fries were awesome and the waitress , Deidre, was personable and pretty damn welcoming to this new guy. Definitely going back... actually. .. did tonight anyway and again. .. very good!”
