Lucy's American Tavern Looking To Open In Waxy O'Connor's Space
Lucy's American Tavern is seeking a new liquor license at 1 Rainin Road, more than two years after the location was vacated.
WOBURN, MA — A Boston bar and restaurant is looking to open in the former Woburn home of Waxy O'Connor's.
According to a hearing notice, the License Commission will be considering Lucy's American Tavern's request for a liquor license for 1 Rainin Road on April 15 at 6 p.m.
The location has been vacant for more than two years, after Waxy O'Connor's closed in spring 2019. According to the Daily Times Chronicle, Cask 'n Flagon Boston considered moving into the space in 2020 before pulling out as coronavirus cases rose.

Lucy's is a Dorchester, Boston restaurant that offers "modern comfort food & bbq, 27 taps of craft beer, seasonal cocktails & a boutique wine list," according to its website.
