Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen Now Open In Woburn

WOBURN, MA — The wait for a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen location in Woburn is over, with the New Orleans-style fried chicken restaurant now open in town on Mishawum Road.

Popeyes representatives first applied for a special permit from the city in 2021, eyeing a new location north of Boston. The Woburn City Council green lit a special permit for Popeyes a matter of months later, approving Popeyes' request with a handful of conditions.

More than a year after receiving its special permit, Popeyes recently opened its doors.

Popeyes’ Woburn restaurant is located at 301 Mishawum Rd.

Restaurant hours are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday through Friday. Saturday hours run 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. while Sunday hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Popeyes drive through is open daily from 10 a.m to 11 p.m.

Popeyes has sites across the country. With its Woburn expansion, the chain now has 24 restaurants in Massachusetts.

An outpost on Mishawum Road puts Popeyes across the street from the Woburn Village mall. Woburn Village has itself added dining destinations in recent months, including Dave's Hot Chicken, a Popeyes competitor.

Chick-fil-A also operates a location close to Popeyes off Washington Street in Woburn.
