Firefighters Use Jaws Of Life In Response To Crash At Wilmington/Woburn Border

First responders worked to rescue two people from their cars after a serious crash on Wednesday night.

WOBURN, MA — First responders had to use jaws of life tools to get occupants out of two separate cars following a crash near the Woburn/Wilmington border on Wednesday night, according to the Wilmington Fire Department.

The crash drew first responders from both Wilmington and Woburn, with Woburn Police warning motorists to stay away from the area around 7:20 p.m.

No additional information was available on the circumstances of the crash or the extent of injuries for those involved.

Photos shared from the scene by the Wilmington Fire Department, though, showed debris strewn across Main Street (Route 38) in Wilmington. Two cars pictured both sustained major front end damage.

Woburn Police said "numerous officers" were on scene detouring vehicles around the crash site on Wednesday night.

The portion of Main Street where this crash took place remained closed into the evening as accident reconstruction crews got to work, according to the Wilmington Fire Department.
