Tavern In The Square Opens In Woburn

WOBURN, MA — Woburn has another new restaurant after Tavern In the Square opened a new location in town on Friday.

Tavern In the Square is located at 300 Mishawum Road in Woburn.

Tavern In the Square is a New England chain now with a dozen locations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. It offers a restaurant and bar, providing a range of appetizers and entrees ranging from quinoa bowls to burgers and hot fried chicken.

Tavern In the Square’s Woburn restaurant comes alongside another area location in Burlington. The chain is also envisioning an upcoming location in Bedford, according to its website.

Back in Woburn, the new Mishawum Road site boasts outdoor rooftop dining, among other options.

Tavern in the Square Woburn is open on Mondays through Fridays between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday hours offer earlier morning opening times with dining from 10 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Now open, Tavern in the Square enters Woburn in a busy time for the local dining scene.

Dave’s Hot Chicken opened a restaurant in Woburn earlier this summer. Surf Seafood opened weeks later, offering a variety of fresh seafood options. Sogno then opened late last month, offering authentic Italian cuisine near the Woburn/Winchester border.

Dave’s Hot Chicken and Surf Seafood both sit steps from the new Tavern In the Square site within the larger Woburn Village shopping center.
