Woburn Chamber Of Commerce Cornhole Tournament Takes Place Wednesday

WOBURN, MA — A night of bag tossing and networking is promised Wednesday at the Woburn Chamber of Commerce's second annual Cornhole Tournament.

The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., with check-in at 5:30 p.m., at the Crowne Plaza Woburn, 15 Middlesex Canal Park Rd.

Those hoping to participate have until 11:59 p.m. Tuesday to sign up. Registration is available online. The event costs $60 per team (2 players), $35 for an individual (who will be matched with others) and $175 for companies with six players.

There also is a $20 option for those who simply wish to network. This option also will be available at the door.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Tanner Ta Ta Foundation, which provides support to Woburn area women and families following a diagnosis of breast cancer.

The event, which is being organized by Wicked Cornhole, will be a round-robin format. Gift certificate prizes will be given to first-place and second-place teams.

The evening also will feature raffles, a cash bar and appetizers.

Organizers said that about 80 people had signed up for the event as of Tuesday afternoon. There were about 100 participants at the inaugural event in 2022.

"It's a great opportunity for some business networking while having fun and raising some money for the Tanner Ta Ta Foundation" Chris Kisiel, the executive director of the Woburn Chamber of Commerce told Patch.
