Woburn Cub Scouts Hosting Registration Night Next Month

Open to boys and girls in kindergarten through 5th grade, the program teaches kids to be healthy, strong and respectful to others.

WOBURN, MA — Woburn 502, a Cub and Scout organization affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), has announced it will be hosting Registration Night for Cub Scouts Pack 502 next month.

The event will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 18 at the American Legion Post 101 in Woburn, located at 194 Lexington St.

The Cub Scouts program is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade. According to the Woburn 502 website, Pack 502 is organized into Dens by grade, and each Den generally meets every one to two weeks.

The scouts, according to the website, meet and talk about how to be healthy, strong and respectful to others. They also go on hikes and other trips, like visiting police and fire stations and water pumping stations.

"Do you want your child to have fun and excitement in the outdoors?" Woburn 502 said in a statement. "Do you want him or her to participate in a program in which they learn to DO THEIR BEST and be helpful to others? The Cub Scout program might be just the right fit for you."

Woburn 502 continued: "Cub Scouting is a home and neighborhood-centered program designed to support and encourage quality family involvement for boys and girls. Each Cub Scout learns to respect his home, country and other people."
