WOBURN, MA — Woburn has issued an emergency parking ban, effective 8 p.m. Monday, until 8 a.m. Tuesday, in response to heavy snow expected to continue overnight. On-street parking is banned on both sides of the street. A list of municipal parking lots where off-street parking is available can be found here.

Residents are asked to remove their vehicles from municipal lots after the ban is lifted, so that they can be cleared. Residents are also asked not to use "active school parking lots," to allow snow removal for the schools.

Classes were not cancelled in Woburn Monday, but they did begin 2 hours late. Waste Management also delayed trash/recycling pickup one day. "If your trash day is Tuesday, it will be moved to Wednesday, Wednesday will be Thursday, and so on through Saturday December 7. Residents are also reminded that it’s the final week for yard waste pickup, and it’s an Orange week for recycling," according to the city.
