WOBURN, MA – Love it or hate it, New Year’s Eve is happening again this year. Whether you plan to ring in 2018 at your favorite restaurant, a buzzing party with your friends, or all cozied up in front of the TV, we’ve got you covered.

So pop the bubbly, come up with some resolutions you can actually stick to and get ready to celebrate the New Year. Check out town-by-town listings below of New Year’s celebrations and events for 2017 in and near Salem if you’re one to want to go out, plus a look at what television programming may make you want to stay in.

Great Gatsby Party At Waxy O'Connor's In Woburn

The Woburn Waxy O'Connors will be transformed on New Years Eve into the Great Gatsby luxurious mansion. With a red carpet entrance, the restaurant will be having the band Hit Play open up the night, (6-9pm) to a smooth transition to DJs for the remainder of the night! (9-1am). Food & Drink specials, including bottles of champagne which can be purchased all night long! Feel free to participate in the Great Gatsby Black & White theme or dress how you prefer. New Year's Eve At Dave & Buster's

The family-friendly event runs from 5-8 pm and guests have access to the event space, as well as the Million Dollar Midway, packed to the rafters with games and simulators. Various pricing packages include food, soft drinks and pre-loaded game cards to play video games. Dave & Buster's is located at 271 Mishawum Avenue in Woburn. Annual New Year's Eve Party at St. Anthony's Club of North Woburn

St Anthony Club invites you to their Annual New Year's Eve Party featuring dinner, desert, coffee, Champagne Toast, Party Favors and the Live music of Finding Dimes featuring Diane Smith on Vocals, Michael Mac Iver on Guitar & Vocals, Tommy Smith on Bass & Vocals, Ray Denice on Saxaphone & Rohan Goodsir on Drums! Tickets are only $40 per person in advance ($50 at the door) and can be purchased in advance by calling Tony Fiorello at 781-760-9778 or stopping by the club.

New Year's Eve Sword Survival Late Night Event

Join Guard Up! Family Swordsmanship at 103 Terrace Hall Avenue for an intense and spooky New Years Eve. This is an interactive adventure where participants fight monsters with foam swords and solve mysteries. The battles and challenges of this evening are designed for courageous and skilled adventurers. The monsters will be imposing, and the environment will be thrilling. New Year's Eve Rat Pack Night At Tuscan Kitchen In Burlington

Enjoy dinner and live music inspired by Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and the Chairman of the Board himself, Frank Sinatra, with Mike Dutra & the Strictly Sinatra Rat Pack Band. Cocktail hour at 8, dinner at 8:30. For reservations for Tuscan Kitchen’s New Year’s Eve please call: (603) 952-4875.

New Years Eve Salem - Launch - Light it Up

Salem actually has two New year's Eve celebrations in a single night: the free, family-friendly countdown from 4-6 pm at the Old Town Hall and the late night ticketed event when Old Town Hall is transformed into a dance hall from 9 pm - 1 am. Why you should watch: For the first time ever, Anderson Cooper will host CNN’s annual New Year’s Eve Live special with none other than “Watch What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen. As these two are best friends in real life, you can expect tons witty banter and hilarious moments from the pair. The Bravo mogul will replace Cooper’s former co-host Kathy Griffin, whom CNN fired after her controversial Donald Trump photoshoot.

Why you should watch: Remember last year’s infamous Mariah Carey mic incident? Yes, it happened on Seacrest’s watch. So if that’s any indication, this could be a good one to tune-in to.
