Woburn Public Library Ice Cream Social Rescheduled to This Weekend

The WPL ice cream social was postponed due to inclement weather this past weekend.

The Woburn Public Library announced its fifth annual old-fashioned ice cream social will take place this weekend after being postponed on July 26.

The event, originally scheduled for this past Sunday, will take place on the front lawn of the Woburn Public Library, 45 Pleasant St., on Sunday, Aug. 2 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The afternoon will feature ice cream, lawn games, activities, music and a performance by the Boston Hoop Troop, whose appearance is sponsored by Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty, according to the Woburn Public Library.

The event is sponsored by the Woburn Whole Foods Market location, at 400 Cambridge Road.

Admission to the event is $5 per adult and $3 per child under 12 years of age. Children attending the event must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
