Woburn Schools Delay Opening Amid Snowstorm Cleanup

Woburn got well over a foot of snow in Saturday's blizzard.

WOBURN, MA — Woburn Public Schools delayed opening by two hours Monday as snow clearance continued across the city.

The district announced the delayed opening Sunday afternoon. Morning preschool was also canceled.

Many residents on social media noted that many of city's sidewalks were still covered in snow, making it unsafe for kids to walk to school.

According to the National Weather Service, Woburn got well over a foot of snow in Saturday's storm, with 15.5 inches reported in the city Saturday evening.
