Woburn Showcase Cinema To Reopen Aug. 28

WOBURN, MA — Showcase Cinemas will reopen its theater in Woburn and and eight others in Massachusetts, on Aug. 28. The company is opening ahead of the Sept. 3 release of Christopher Nolan's hotly anticipated and much-delayed "Tenet."

The company has already opened a pair of cinemas in Rhode Island.

Showcase Cinema de Lux Woburn will show "The New Mutants" and "The Personal History of David Coperfield" when it reopens, Aug. 28.

The company is reopening with an intensive health and safety program, according to a news release. It includes new air-purification systems, reduced seating, mask requirements and more.

  • Showcase Cinema de Lux Foxboro
  • Showcase Cinema de Lux Blackstone Valley
  • Showcase Cinema de Lux Lowell
  • Showcase Cinema de Lux Woburn
  • Showcase SuperLux in Chestnut Hill

The chain is also offering private screenings: for $300, you can book an auditorium for up to 10 guests, pick from a catalog of movies and receive a popcorn and drink for each guests.
