Woman Turns Herself In To Woburn Police After Amber Alert: Reports

Two young children were safe after the incident, according to Maine State Police.

WOBURN, MA — A woman turned herself into Woburn Police on Tuesday after triggering an AMBER Alert in Maine, according to multiple reports.

Maine State Police issued their AMBER alert on Tuesday morning after Maine Department of Health and Human Services personnel visited to remove two young children from a home in Saco, Maine, according to WMTW News. Officials instead found that the children were gone, later suspecting that their mother had taken them, the station reported.

The alert triggered a regional search. In a matter of hours, WMTW and CBS Boston both reported that the mother called Saco Police who told her to go to the nearest police station to turn herself in. Vincent proceeded to turn herself into Woburn Police, according to reports.
