Man, 55, Charged In Southeast MI Crash That Killed 4: Police

LENAWEE COUNTY, MI — A man is facing charges in connection with a crash that killed four people last year in Lenawee County, according to Michigan State Police.

The 55-year-old Adrian man was arrested Thursday and charged with four counts of reckless driving causing death in connection with the crash, according to police.

He was placed in the Lenawee County Jail.

If convicted, he faces up to 60 years in prison.

Officials said a white Ford F-150 pickup was driving south on Britton Highway at Milwaukee Road in Macon Township at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 4, 2023, when it was struck by a gray Ford F-250 pickup that was driving east on Milwaukee Road.

The driver and two passengers from the Ford F-150 were killed in the crash, officials said.

A third passenger from the Ford F-150 was taken to ProMedica Hickman Hospital, where he died from his injuries, officials said.

Officials said all four men (ages 35, 33, 23 and 18) were from Lenawee County.

The driver of the F-250 was taken to St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor with life-threatening injuries, officials said.
