Police Shoot Man In Kalamazoo 'Active Shooter' Situation

Police shot a man suspected of shooting "multiple" victims at a Kalamzoo bus depot Saturday morning.

KALAMAZOO, MI — There was an active shooter situation Saturday morning at bus depot in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where police officers shot a man suspected of shooting and injuring "multiple" victims, according to the Kalamazoo city Department of Public Safety.

The man shot by police is alive and has been taken to a local hospital where he is currently receiving treatment, the police department said on its official Twitter account.

Kalamazoo Police said they got a call of shots fired at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the Greyhound bus station/Kalamazoo Transportation Center on North Burdick Street.

When police got there, they found an "active shooter situation" and located multiple victims with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Officers shot the suspect and immediately rendered medical assistance and transported him to a hospital, said the department.
