Classic Cars Set To Return To Woodward For Dream Cruise In Birmingham

More than 1 million people attended the event in Birmingham last year.

BIRMINGHAM, MI β€” Hundreds of classic cars will be on display on Woodward Avenue in Downtown Birmingham this August.

The 29th annual Woodward Dream Cruise is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Spectators can see the classic cars on display and hear the roar of their motors as drive up and down Woodward throughout the day.

There will also be interactive exhibits from Chevrolet and live broadcasts from Detroit's WOMC 104.3 F.M. channel. Last year, more 1 million people attended the event.

"We are delighted to announce the 29th annual Birmingham Cruise Event, held in partnership with the Woodward Dream Cruise. As Michigan is celebrated for its rich automotive heritage, this event will feature an impressive display of over 200 classic cars, reflecting our state’s significant role in the automotive industry," Birmingham Shopping District Executive Director Erika Bassett said. "Attendees can also enjoy a variety of food vendors creating a vibrant celebration of both our automotive legacy and community spirit. We look forward to welcoming everyone to this remarkable celebration."

Spectators can also enjoy a wide variety of restaurants from fast, casual cafes to upscale eateries in the downtown Birmingham area.
