1 Dead, 2 Hurt In Macomb County 3-Car Crash: Police

Police don't believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI β€” A man was killed and two other people were injured in a Tuesday morning three-car crash in Clinton Township, according to police.

An 18-year-old man was driving a white 2013 Chevrolet Impala north on Groesbeck Highway near North Avenue at 7:14 a.m. when he crossed into the center line and struck a silver 2023 Chevrolet Blazer that was merging into the center line to turn left onto North Avenue, according to police.

The impact of the crash then sent the Impala into oncoming traffic on southbound Groesbeck Highway where it crashed into a gray 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, according to police.

The 18-year-old driver of the Impala was taken to McLaren Macomb Hospital, where he died from his injuries, according to police.

The 38-year-old woman driving the Blazer was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries and released, according to police.

The 49-year-old driver of the Silverado was treated for a minor injury and released at the scene, according to police.

Police don’t believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

Police were still investigating the crash.
