Book Club Review: November Road is an Enjoyable Ride

The Harrison Township Library Book Club Reviews Lou Berney Thriller

(Harrison Township Public Library)

In November, the Harrison Township Public Library’s Book Club selected November Road by Lou Berney. It’s a crime thriller about a man’s desperate race across the country to escape a violent hitman, and a woman’s attempt to start a new life out west with her children and her dog. The novel is set in the 1960s, with Kennedy’s assassination at the center of the plot.

The HT book club loved this book. We all agreed that it was a nail-biting road trip. The story was believable and we liked the characters. There were so many plot twists that we could have continued chatting about it long into the night! We also had fun deciding who we would cast in the film adaptation.

Verdict: This was a great choice! We are looking forward to reading Berney’s other books.
