Hotel Garden Inn, Residence Inn Coming To Clinton Township

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — Construction of a pair of hotels in Clinton Township will start next spring. A Hilton Garden Inn and a Residence Inn will be developed on a five-acre parcel on Hayes Road south of Hall. Combined, the hotels will offer more than 250 rooms, according to a Macomb Daily report.

“In addition, the whole front piece of the property will be available for a couple of restaurants or upscale speciality shops to complement the hotels,” Clinton Township Supervisor Bob Cannon said.

“I thought the property eventually would be used for another big-box retail development,” Township Planning Director Carlo Santia said. “I’m glad it’s not. Now we’ll have two very nice hotels, along with the potential for a couple of restaurants and some shopping sites. It will be like its own little village.”
