L’Anse Creuse Student Chosen for Army All-American Halftime Show

The elite group of 125 will perform Jan. 7 on the nationally telecast game.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, MI — Watch closely during the halftime show at the U.S. Army All-American game on Jan. 7, and you may see a familiar face, that of Payton White, a member of the L’Anse Creuse High School Color Guard, who is among 125 students nationally who were chosen for the elite performance.

Band members are selected based on their musical talent, mental and physical agility, teamwork skills and ability to adapt to challenging situations.

To celebrate White’s accomplishment, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Tour, sponsored by American Family Insurance, is visiting L’Anse Creuse High School at noon Tuesday.

Soldiers will present White with an All-American jacket before her fellow band members, classmates, friends and family. Army recruiters will also demonstrate GoArmy EDGE, a free app that provides football coaches and players with an interactive virtual training experience designed to improve team performance and reduce potential player injuries.
