Large Virtual Restaurant Job Fair Planned For Macomb County

The May 5 event will have over 30 local businesses in attendance looking to fill hundreds of job openings.

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — Economic groups with two Michigan counties are teaming up to host the largest restaurant industry virtual job fair to date on Wednesday.

The Macomb/St. Clair Michigan Works!, Macomb County Planning and Economic Development and Michigan Rehabilitation Services are putting on the event with the intent of helping more than 30 local businesses looking to fill hundreds of jobs, according to a news release.

“Macomb/St. Clair Michigan Works! is extremely excited to co-host such a large-scale virtual job fair specializing in restaurant hiring,” said Jordan Geml, the head of communications for Macomb/St. Clair Michigan Works! and the Macomb/St. Clair Workforce Development Board. “In a single online event, local job seekers will be immediately connected to over 30 local restaurant employers. From students looking for a summer job, to job seekers looking for permanent employment, it has never been easier to connect with multiple local employers ready to hire on the spot.”

The fair will be split into two sessions, with a morning session taking place from 9 a.m. ­to noon and an afternoon session going from 1-4 p.m. Registration can be completed online or by calling ‪(586) 434-0558.

There also will be a gift card giveaway at the job fair, officials said.
