After consideration by Health Department officials and the Board of Health, the January meeting of the Lenawee County Board of Health has been canceled. The decision to cancel the meeting was based on the active spread of COVID-19 in Lenawee County, which is evidenced by the 540 confirmed and 189 probable cases reported today. This represents a 45% increase from the cases reported a week ago on January 10th. This increase in cases is consistent with the trend last week, a further indication of the widespread of the virus in the county. Bringing together a large group of people at this time would be contrary to the mission of the Lenawee County Health Department to promote a safe and healthy environment.
