Macomb County Teen, 15, Charged In Marijuana Dispensary Armed Robbery

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A Clinton Township teen is facing charges as an adult in connection with a string of armed robberies of marijuana dispensary delivery drivers, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office.

The teen, 15, was charged with three counts of armed robbery and two counts of possession of a firearm during a felony. The teen was arraigned Wednesday through 41B District Court in Clinton Township. Bond was set at $300,000.

If released on bond, the judge ordered the teen to have no contact with the victims, undergo a mental health evaluation and wear a steel-cuff GPS tether. If convicted, the teen faces up to life in prison on the armed robbery charges.

Prosecutors did not release the teen's name.

Prosecutors said the teen robbed marijuana dispensary delivery drivers on three occasions in October 2023. Prosecutors did not provide any further details on the robberies.

"The safety of our community remains our top priority," Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido said. "Unfortunately, this person has made bad decisions putting our community at risk and the juvenile will have to face the consequences of their actions."
