New Hopcat Opening In Metro Detroit This Spring

Hopcat is best known for its "Cosmik" french fries and local craft beer.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — Macomb County is getting its first ever Hopcat this spring, according to a news release.

The Michigan burger and beer restaurant chain is opening the new restaurant at 17380 Hall Rd. (Mall at Partridge Creek) in Clinton Township on May 6, officials said.

"It’s an honor to return to find our new home at The Mall at Partridge Creek," General Manager of Hopcat Partridge Creek Kara Snyder said. "After five years at Hopcat Detroit, I am thrilled to expand our brand, and I am confident that my team of over 100 passionate team members will provide unforgettable experiences."

The new 7,000 square foot restaurant will open at 11 a.m. on May 6, and will serve its widely recognized menu of burgers, sandwiches, "Cosmik" french fries and beer, including "42 taps of curated local craft beer," officials said.

The new restaurant will seat up to 320 guests and feature a wrap-around bar, spacious booth seating, an outdoor patio and a private event space for up to 50 people, officials said.

Additionally, Hopcat’s popular music theme decor will be on full display in the new space with a signature wall adorned with classic vinyl record covers of famous musical artists, custom murals and the brand’s largest beer tap handle wall, officials said.

A few days after its opening, Hopcat will be giving away free Cosmik Fries for one year to the first 100 guests in line during a public housewarming celebration on May 11, officials said.

Those interested in being one of the first 100 guests may begin lining up after 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 11. Doors will open at 10 a.m. Guests will not be allowed to form a line overnight, officials said.

The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday through Thursday; from 11 a.m.-midnight on Friday; from 10 a.m.-midnight on Saturday; and from 10 a.m.-11 p.m. on Sunday.

Hopcat has 10 other locations, most in Michigan, including restaurants in Detroit, Royal Oak, Livonia and more. There is one Hopcat restaurant in Lincoln, Nebraska.
