That’s unless Jim Harbaugh isn’t announced as a replacement for fired head coach Brady Hoke.

Harbaugh, who officially parted ways with the San Francisco 49ers after Sunday’s game, is remaining coy, but a university official close to the situation told the Detroit Free Press the deal with Harbaugh will be announced Tuesday.

Despite that, teams like the Chicago Bears, New York Jets and Oakland Raiders – all looking to make coaching changes – are continuing to court Harbaugh.

The yet-to-be-signed six-year contract with Michigan is reportedly worth $49 million, which would make Harbaugh the highest-paid coach in college football.

Harbaugh turned down the Michigan job in 2011 to make the jump to the NFL.

The job would be a homecoming for Harbaugh, who was a quarterback for Michigan from 1993-1996, before going on to a long NFL career. He is a Palo Alto, CA, native, but spent part of his childhood in Ann Arbor.
