More Lane Closures On Southfield Freeway In Wayne Co. Due To Road Work

DEARBORN, MI — There will only be one lane open in each direction on the Southfield Freeway between Pinecrest Drive, (south of Interstate 94) and Ford Road this summer as construction crews expand the road project, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Crews added the new lane closures to include more construction and maintenance work, including concrete patching, milling, resurfacing, drainage cleaning and barrier wall repairs, according to officials.

While one lane will be open in both directions for most of the time, crews will occasionally pull back and open two lanes in each direction, according to officials.
