New Stop Sign Headed For Charles & Prospect In Dearborn

Traffic Improvement Association has recommended a new stop sign to southbound Charles Street at the southern leg of Prospect Street.

The Dearborn Police Department reports that the Traffic Improvement Association has been conducting a traffic study of all the residential intersections in the City of Dearborn.

Their evaluation recommended adding a new stop sign to southbound Charles Street at the southern leg of Prospect Street. “All Way” plaques will be added to both stop signs. The left arrow at the dead end will be replaced with a double arrow along with an all red retro reflective sign.

The Department of Public Works will be installing the new signs at some point in the Dec. 11-Dec. 20 time period. They will also place an advanced warning sign on Charles Street warning drivers of the new stop sign.
