Back To School: Detroit 2021-22 School Calendar

DETROIT, MI — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Detroit, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Detroit Public Schools Community District.

The first day of school for most students in Detroit is Sept. 7.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Detroit.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Winter Break: Dec. 20-31

Spring Break: March 28 through April 1

Last Day: June 27
