I-75, I-96, I-94 Road, Lane Closures In Detroit Area This Weekend

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — Multiple lanes and stretches of freeways in the Detroit area will close Friday night and through the weekend, according to road officials.

The closures are part of ongoing road work in the areas.

Here are the closures:

I-75 in Oakland County

Northbound Interstate 75 between Dixie Highway and Saginaw Road will close Friday night at 9 p.m. The roadway will open at 5 a.m. Monday.

I-94 to Wayne County

Only one lane will be open on eastbound Interstate 94 in Detroit between. Interstate 96 and Interstate 75, and west between Interstate 75 and Michigan 10.

The lanes are expected to close at 8 p.m. Friday and reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.

I-96 in Wayne County

The eastbound Interstate 96 express lanes between Wyoming Street and Grand River (M-5) will be reduced to two lanes starting at 7 p.m. Friday.

Additionally, the local lanes will be closed to the Southfield Freeway (M-39) and Davison (M-8).

The closures will start at 7 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday.
