DETRIOT, MI – There have been more than 3 million entries into the statewide online COVID-19 symptom tracking tool, officials announced.

MI Symptoms was created by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and the University of Michigan to increase efficiency of symptom screening with the ultimate goal of ensuring businesses are able to open safely and in compliance.

"Screening for COVID-19 symptoms prior to entering the workplace is still required for most in-person work settings, and remains an important way to help prevent spread of COVID-19 in the workplace," Dr. Joneigh Khaldun, MDHHS chief medical executive and chief deputy director for health, said in a prepared statement.
