SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Severe thunderstorms are likely to hit southeastern Michigan this week after a beautiful stretch of pleasant weather, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will rise to the mid 80s Wednesday across southeastern Michigan before clouds and shower chances move into the region overnight, according to the weather service.

Showers and thunderstorms are possible beginning Thursday afternoon and then through the weekend across southeastern Michigan, according to the weather service.
