Woman Robbing A Family Dollar Brandishes A Box Cutter

A woman brandished a knife during a robbery of a Family Dollar,

DETROIT, MI- A 22-year-old woman from Detroit was arrested on Christmas Eve after allegedly stealing socks and makeup from a Family Dollar on the west side. When store security officers approached her, she brandished a utility knife.

The incident happened at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Family Dollar on the 2300 block of West Grand Boulevard west of Rosa Parks. The suspect had allegedly tried to seal other items in addition to the socks and makeup before she was confronted by security, police said.

No one was hurt during the incident.
