MI Woman Wins $300K On Scratch-Off Ticket She Received As A Gift

OTTAWA COUNTY, MI — An Ottawa County woman was shocked to win $300,000 on a scratch-off ticket that she got as a gift, according to Michigan Lottery officials.

The lucky 25-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, was gifted the Emerald Green Wild Time ticket, which was purchased at Lincolnshire P/S and Deli, located at 1110 Lincoln Avenue in Holland.

"My uncle bought the ticket for me as a gift, and we sat down and scratched it together," the lucky woman told lottery officials. "When I revealed a $300,0000 prize, my first thought was: ‘Is this fake?’ I was immediately overwhelmed because I’ve never had this amount of money before! I am still in shock and trying to take it all in."

The lucky woman told lottery officials that she plans to invest her winnings.
