  1. On Friday, Sparrow's mobile clinic made a stop in Lansing at the Eastside Community Action Center to provide check-ups and vaccines for those who needed treatment. In addition to these services, physicians also had the ability to check blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar, and even give out flu shots. If you were unable to attend this past clinic, another clinic will be held on Jul. 11 at Sycamore Creek Church in nearby Pottersville from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (WILX)
  2. The East Lansing Summer Concert Series started back up on Friday with a free live performance from East Lansing's very own Cross-Eyed Strangers who rocked the stage at Ann Street Plaza. This is only the beginning, as the concert series will feature two more shows on the next two Fridays (Jul. 14 and Jul. 21) and then four shows in August. It is strongly encouraged that you bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating, or even enjoy a nearby restaurant's patio dining during the show. You can check out a full list of the performers coming up here. (WLNS)
  3. Judge Donald Allen, Jr., presiding over Ingham County's 55th District Court, recently discussed the Sobriety Court program and its focus on rehabilitating repeat substance abusers in an interview with 6 News. Allen's extensive experience in the legal field includes serving as an assistant attorney general and director of Michigan's Office of Drug Control Policy. He emphasizes the increasing challenges posed by opioid use and highlights the positive impact Sobriety Court has had, with over 800 graduates reclaiming their lives and benefiting their families and communities.
