Giving Tuesday is a global initiative that brings people together to harness the potential of collective generosity. Fortunately for folks in the Shelby-Utica area, there’s no shortage of organizations nearby that could greatly benefit from your support.

Here are five outstanding organizations in the Shelby-Utica area. Please consider volunteering or donating to them for Giving Tuesday and beyond.

  1. Oakland Community Health Network — The Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) provides vital public mental health services to those in need, with the goal of improving their health and quality of life, as well as fostering engagement in their community. They lead a provider service network that assists thousands of citizens at over three hundred service sites across the county. People who receive public mental health services through OCHN's provider network include those who have an intellectual or developmental disability, mental health challenge or substance use disorder.   4. Angels of Hope — Angels of Hope’s mission is to provide critical support to Michigan families directly impacted by cancer. Michigan Music Association —The Michigan Music Association provides music students across the state with an outlet for their artistic talent, while helping them gain experience and confidence in developing their musical abilities.
