Shelby Township Police Promotes Five Officers
Two new lieutenants and three new sergeants were sworn in on Friday.
Shelby Township has officially promoted five officers in the police department.
Sgt. Scott Trumbo and Sgt. Jason Schmittler have been promoted to lieutenant, while officers Troy Titchenell, Matthew Stachowicz, and Jeffrey Bellomo have been promoted to sergeant.
The promotions come days after five officers, including Chief Roland Woelkers, officially announced their retirements. The township is currently working to fill that vacancy and has appointed an interim chief.
